Meet two “Peacemakers” that Way of Peace partners with in Israel. Hear about the unique relationship between Palestinian pastor, Victor Bahbah, and Messianic Rabbi, Avi Mizrachi.

Avi leads Adonai Roi, a Messianic congregation in Tel Aviv. He has a profound passion for Jesus and spreading the Gospel to Jewish people throughout Israel. In the midst of all the turmoil and conflict between Palestinians and Israelis, he spreads the message that “God loves all the people of Israel; Jesus is the only hope for the nation.” Dugit evangelizes not only in Tel Aviv, but throughout all of Israel. They advance the Gospel through preaching, drama, dancing and music.

Much of the resistance Mizrachi receives is from Orthodox Jews. Despite the curses and threats he receives from those who oppose him, he believes the harvest is right in Israel and is experiencing it right now.

The goal of Dugit is to train and to raise up the Messianic community so that when people ask who Jesus is they will receive the right answer. His ministry also works with the needy in a practical way. They opened a distribution center where 200 families receive monthly support.

Victor Bahbah has an Arab congregation in Jaffa, Israel. He has a tremendous passion to see Arabs and Jews throughout Israel be united in Jesus. Shortly after receiving Jesus as his personal savior in 1988, the Lord spoke to him to move to Jaffa and start his ministry.

After serving the Lord in Jaffa for a time, Bahbah saw that this was truly the Lords plan for his life. His congregation is predominately Arabic speaking, however, they work together with local messianic Jews, including Mizrachi’s Adonai Roi, to bring the Gospel to Israel, which is a true blessing. He describes the relationship between his Arab congregation and the Messianic congregation as strong.

Recently, Victor has started a weekly homegroup in the town of Ramallah in the West Bank. Although crossing the Palestinian border every week presents challenges, Victor’s passion for the Gospel and love for people keeps him optimistic about reaching this “gospel starved” area.
